| This paper reviews and extends previously published findings of the Fleuve Cereals Marketing Study and discusses their policy implications. The objectives of the paper include: to describe the organization of cereals markets in the Senegal river valley; to assess the performance of current marketing policies, based on the findings of the BAME study; to analyze selected policy reform options and their expected performance consequences; and to identify likely barriers to reform and to discuss possible actions to bring about desired change.. food security, food policy, cereal markets | |||||||
