NFTにおける野菜類の吸水速度測定方法に関する研究. Studies on the Method for Measuring Water Uptake Rates of Vegetables in NFT Culture.

Abstract
1.培養液自動補給装置を改良した簡易吸水速度測定装置を試作し, 吸水速度の日変化を測定した.2.吸水速度は, 単位時間当りの補給回数または補給と補給の時間間隔から求めた.3.本装置の測定精度を向上させるためには, 培養液タンク内にスペーサを設置して, タンクの有効面積を減少させることが有効である.4.本装置を用いることで, NFTで栽培中のトマト, サラダナの吸水速度の日変化を明らかにすることができた.5.本試験で得られたトマト, サラダナの吸水速度は, 1.5時間前の日射との相関が高かった.又, 夜間の吸水は総吸水量の15%をしめた.. Simple but precise method was developed for measuring water uptake rates of vegetables in NFT culture. This apparatus consists from an automatic solution supply equipment with small floating switch. Water uptake rates were estimated by the frequency of nutrient supply per unit time, or from the time intervals of each nutrient supply. More accurate results were obtained by installing the spacer in the nutrient storage tank for decreasing the effective water surface area. The diurnal course of water uptake rates was measured in lettuce and tomato plants cultivated in NFT system in the greenhouse. Significant correlation was found between the water uptake rates of the plants and the amount of solar radiation 1.5 hours prior to the measurement. The amount of water uptake during the night was estimated to be 150f the total uptake. This newly developed method could be applied for measuring water uptake rate of hydroponically grown vegetables in NFT system under green house condition.
