FAR FIELD CHARACTERISTICS OF GROUND SHOCK INDUCED BY EXPLOSIONS, (1998)

Abstract
General formulae for the ground motions from an explosion source were derived and their results compared with high explosive and nuclear weapons test data. The comparisons show reasonably good agreement may be obtained by using a simple elastic description for the earth as long as the explosion is properly modeled. (Author)
