Microstructural and Mechanical Property Characterization of Superplastically Formed Inconel Alloy 718SPF. (1998)

Abstract
Superplastically formed Inconel 718SPF has been studied with respect to microstructure and mechanical properties. The alloy retained its original tensile properties after superplastic forming through engineering strains approximately 200%. Cavitation was insignificant at a strain rate of 10(-2)/s but became increasingly significant with decreasing strain rate.
