Abstract | |||||||||
| A key-operated one-way or intercom loudspeaker system with line selection. Several terminal stations are connected to a base station. A switching processor located at the base station controls the switching of call and connection paths and the detection of busy/idle statuses. The terminal stations are connected to the base station via a digital serial transmission section, over which control signals, busy/idle signals and voice signals are transmitted in digital form in time division multiplex. The channel structure of the transmission section has two B channels each with a bit rate of 64 kbit/s in each direction and one D channel with a bit rate of 16 kbit/s. All voice signals are transmitted over the two B channels and all control signals and busy/idle signals are transmitted over the D channel. | |||||||||
