| DE 19839209 A UPAB: 20000426 NOVELTY - Recovery of solid organic substances (I) from solutions containing mineral salts and/or electrolytes (II) comprises separating the solution into (II)-enriched permeate and a (I)-saturated or -supersaturated retentate under pressure on a (II)-permeable membrane and precipitating and separating (I). USE - The process can be used to recover natural substances, e.g. mono-, di- and oligosaccharides, amino acids, peptides or proteins, from aqueous solutions formed in the course of food or pharmaceutical production, e.g. to recover lactose from whey or amino acids from potato juice. ADVANTAGE - The process can be operated in an environmentally friendly and energy-saving manner and can produce high yields of high-purity (I). | |||||||||
