| This diploma thesis came into being within the context of ambient intelligence and deals with the assistance of users being in meeting and conference rooms. This could be necessary for activities like lectures or presentations, for example. To realize this, information concerning position and orientation of multimedia devices such as beamer or display surfaces is required. To be able to save, manage und analyse these information, a geometry model has been designed and put into practice within this thesis. Agreements, which has been made within the developed geometry model were applied to a mobile carriage and a hereon situated multimedia device (television). To determine the position and orientation RFID-sensor technology has been applied. The RFID-reader were located at the bottom side of the carriage and the transponder were integrated into a predefined sectional range inside carpet components. On this occasion the multimedia devices in such an environment are treated as autonomous. This implies the advantage that these devices are able to determine the demanded information independent from their place of action, as long as the necessary infra structure is available. | |||||||||||
