| OPTOGALVANIC DETECTION WITH MICROWAVE DISCHARGE (1983) | |||||||||||||||
Abstract | |||||||||||||||
| The optogalvanic detection in a microwave discharge is demonstrated with a reasonably high S/N ratio, using a magnetron. The employed double-probe method is characterized by two aspects ; a high extraction efficiency of the optogalvanic signal and a stable operation in a wide pressure range (1-40 Torr for Helium ). These features are demonstrated well by the observation of molecular transitions of Helium. A mechanism of the signal generation in the double-probe method is also discussed. | |||||||||||||||
