Electron capture from the krypton M-shell by MeV protons (1985)

Abstract
An experimental and theoretical study of electron capture by protons from a krypton gas jet target in the energy range 2-3 MeV is performed. A comparison of experimental data with the Continuum Distorted Wave theory reveals that electrons are captured predominantly from the 3d subshell of krypton. The role of the initial electronic angular momentum in electron capture is discussed.
