| Acute toxicity testing and the antinociceptive activity in mice of ethanolic extract of Wrightia tomentosa leaves and bark were carried out. The bark extract (400mg/kg) exhibited maximum antinociceptive action after 120 minutes of administration with a value of 14.67 ± 4.17 seconds in comparison with standard aspirin having the reaction time of 8.33 ± 1.72 seconds after 120 minutes. The leaf extract was not as active.
