| Resource Management Strategies in Future Composite Radio Environments * (2007) | |||||||||||||
Abstract | |||||||||||||
| This paper adopts the assumption that in the future, UMTS, HIPERLAN-2 and DVB-T can be three (cooperating) components of a composite radio infrastructure that offers wireless access to broadband IP-based services. This paper is about the overall optimisation process of transmission resources over the aforementioned networks. The process is divided in two main steps: (i) splitting the traffic over the available networks, based on the service provider requests, and the network capabilities to support specific transport services, (ii) accommodation of the traffic splitting proposal into the specific networks.
