Drug Discovery (2008)

Abstract
1. One approach to drug design is to find molecules similar to good drugs but have fewer negative side effects. 2. Ideally, a candidate replacement drug is sufficiently similar to have the same beneficial effect but is different enough to avoid the side effects. 3. A good similarity measure (fitness function) is needed.
