| Algebraic Analysis of Linear Precoding for Channel Identification (2007) | |||||||||||||||
Abstract | |||||||||||||||
| This paper studies the ability of linear precoders and filter banks to introduce sufficient algebraic redundancy to enable the receiver to algebraically identify an unknown finite impulse response channel. Prior to the work herein, identifiability issues had only been resolved for specially designed linear precoders for which linear algebra or z-domain analysis sufficed. The results obtained here help explain the connection between various identifiability criteria such as Fisher information-based identifiability and strict identifiability. 1 | |||||||||||||||
