| This paper has presented the first successful investigation into a promising research area. We are currently pursuing this project further in the following areas: (i) Development of Signal Processing/fuzzy algorithms to segment raw ultrasonic images. (ii) Work with the medical community to refine membership functions. (iii) Work with the medical community to develop exhaustive rule set. (iv) Development and testing of a prototype system.
