Fast implementation of depth contours using topological sweep (2001)

Abstract
1 Introduction The location depth of a given point a relative to a bivariate data set first occurred (without being given a name) as a test statistic of Hodges [8] for the hypothesis that a is the center of the probability distribution from which the data was drawn. More recently, Liu and Singh [11] constructed other statistical tests based on location depth.
