Microscopic Studies of Radioactive Hg Implanted in $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{6+x}$ Superconducting Thin Films (2001)

Abstract
YBa2Cu3O6+x (YBCO) superconducting thin films implanted with low doses of radioactive 197mHg and 199mHg isotopes were studied with a combination of nuclear and non-nuclear characterization techniques. We show that after implantation Hg lies on an unique site in the YBCO lattice and the critical temperature increases slightly with the increase of the 197Au concentration from the nuclear transmutation of 197Hg.
