Abstract
LAL April THE TESLA HIGH POWER COUPLER PROGRAM ORSAY Garvey Borie Grandsire Lepercq Omeich Panvier and Prat Laboratoire Acc rateur Lin aire CNRS Universit Paris Sud Orsay France Abstract Within the general TESLA collaboration the Laboratoire Acc rateur Lin aire has the responsibility for the development high power input couplers for the super conducting cavities this end have assembled the required infra structure necessary for the preparation conditioning and tests proto type couplers This infra structure will described along with brief results the first proto type tests cleaned using ultra pure water The water produced using commercial system which provides litres per day electrical resistivity filtered remove all particulates above size The ultra sonic bath allows cleaning with kW power kHz The class area used assemble the cold parts the coupler their test bench The couplers enter directly into the class area from being baked out the furnace Once assembled the couplers are leak checked the clean room before exiting through ante chamber into the test area The leak test performed using helium detector positioned outside the clean room The helium gas and leak detector cables traverse the clean room wall via special feed through INTRODUCTION Super conducting activities LAL Orsay are centred the development input couplers for the cavities the TESLA linear collider study This program work performed the framework DESY LAL collaboration the time writing four different versions pow
