Register your Scientific Commons Resource
A Disciplinary/Institutional Repository
You can register your institutional or disciplinary repository to get included in ScientificCommons.org. Please add your name and the OAI interface URL of the repository, if we haven't automatically included your repository or publications in our index yet. Please keep in mind that the given URL has to be the base URL for the OAI-PMH 2.0 interface of your repository (e.g. http://www.example.com/oaiserver). Our crawling system will automatically follow fulltext links (PDF, PS, RTF, Powerpoint, Word & RTF) within the meta data sets up to a size of 3MB and index them. If you do not want to allow this or your system is experiencing serious performance problems while crawling please setup your robots.txt to disallow fulltext crawling.
An Open Access Journal
If you do host or operate a scientific journal and would like to get included you have
three opportunities currently.
A Personal Website
If you are looking how to get your personal website included we can offer you some help. Currently we do not including personal scientific resource like web pages. This is due to the missing certification. But we can support you with some help in finding an appropriate service where you can upload your papers. This could be either an institutional repository of your department or university. In case your institution does not offer such support you could be self-archiving your scientific publications to a disciplinary archive like CiteSeer. You could also check out here if your institution or acadamic association hosts a repository which is currently indexed by ScientificCommons.org. If your institution does not currently support this please talk to your technical officer and request a repository to get your scientific work disseminated as there are a lot of benefits.
